Quick answer

Can a brand register a .store domain offshore without ID?

Yes. Radix sets no restriction on who registers a .store. Isthmus Domains asks only for an email address you verify, includes WHOIS privacy, and takes payment in crypto. No ID document is requested. At Isthmus Domains, an offshore domain registrar in Panama, a .store costs $51.99/year the first year and $55.49/year to renew (19 October 2026), paid in crypto with no KYC.

Any business proof needed for a .store, or ID?

Neither. Radix lets any person or company register a .store, for a large brand or a single product. You do not need a trade register entry, a VAT number or a shop already online. We run the single check ICANN requires: you confirm an email address. We collect no ID, no selfie and no address proof, and the email stays private. Pay in Bitcoin, Ether, Solana, Litecoin, USDT or USDC from your balance. Your payment provider and tax rules still apply to the shop itself, separately from the domain. A brand can secure its .store before launch day.

A .store in a public lookup

The public RDAP record of a .store registered here names our privacy service as contact. Your email, the only contact data we collect, is not published. The registrar, nameservers, status codes and dates remain public. Radix receives registration data and keeps its own copy under its policy. Privacy is part of the price, with no add-on to tick at checkout. Brands that prefer the registry to see a company can add Domain protection.

Keeping a product brand's .store under control

Brand stores face lookalike domains and takeover attempts. The optional Domain protection puts the .store in our company name and locks transfers by default. Any DNS edit or transfer must be confirmed from your account. We hold only your email. We release the data we hold only when Panamanian law requires it (a Panamanian court or prosecutor's order), or in a UDRP case. A person reviews every complaint first. You keep full control and a free transfer code.

Radix and the first e-commerce extension

A .store extension was first proposed by the International Ad Hoc Committee in 1997. In ICANN's 2012 round, seven companies applied, including Radix, Google and Amazon. Radix won and introduced .store on 14 June 2016. Wikipedia calls it the first extension launched specifically for e-commerce. Brands such as Hanes, Emirates, Apple and Nike, plus NBA teams and F1, use .store names. The registry has no sponsor and no eligibility rule. Radix also runs .online, .site and .tech. All four belong to the same Radix group.

Watch the second-year bill on .store

At Porkbun, a .store cost $2.57 the first year and $43.77 after that, on 19 October 2026. That is about seventeen times more in year two. Our own .store price is higher than some others, so compare full multi-year costs before you choose. Lookalike .store names can mislead your buyers; the UDRP covers trademark disputes. Fake brand stores count as fraud and are suspended on a documented report. A new .store also stays locked for 60 days before any transfer.

.store questions

Is .store or .com better for an online shop?

A .com is more familiar to most buyers. A .store says what the site does and leaves more short names free. Many brands hold both and point one to the other. Check the renewal cost of each, because .store renews at a much higher price than .com at most registrars.

Can I register a .store for a brand I do not own?

You can register any free name, but using another company's trademark invites a UDRP case. The panel can order the name transferred to the trademark owner, and we apply the decision. A fake shop impersonating a brand is fraud and is suspended on a documented report. See UDRP.

How do I point a .store to my shop platform?

In our DNS editor, add the A, AAAA or CNAME records your platform gives you. Or switch to the platform's nameservers, two to thirteen of them. Add CAA records if you want to limit which authorities issue certificates for the shop, and MX records for its email.

Who sees my identity if I register a .store here?

The public sees our privacy contact. We hold your verified email. Radix receives the registration data its rules require, unless you add Domain protection, in which case it sees our company. We release the data we hold only when Panamanian law requires it (a Panamanian court or prosecutor's order), or in a UDRP case.
